A High Profile Case
From day one there had been debate and gossip surrounding the "McCrady case." I suppose it was only natural, after all, it was one of the most "high profile" cases we'd ever seen.
Everyone involved in the case were respected, professional people. The victim.....Jenifer McCrady was a nurse, who was the daughter of local veterinarian Thomas Barrett.
Jackie McCrady was an Ohio State Trooper who had been a Wood County Deputy {West Virginia} before hiring on in Ohio. His father Jack McCrady was a retired Wood County Deputy, and his mother Iris was Executive Vice President of Camden Clark Memorial Hospital in Wood County.
Jackie was their only child, and Jenifer was the Barrett's only daughter.
Everyone in a hundred mile radius knew one or two, or sometimes all of the people involved in the case. That's why I'd thought from the beginning that the case should have been tried somewhere else. Cleveland, Cincinnati .... not Columbus though. It was too close and everyone there knew all our cops because the BCII (crime lab) was in Columbus.
Overnight Sensation
Georgia Rudolph became an overnight sensation as far as "psychic" work was concerned.
Although the Belpre police department .... Officer Dave Garvey in particular, didn't seem able to stop bragging on Georgia, I noticed that most of the county cops had little to say about the woman who had flat out lied to me and called herself .... 'Gloria' .... during the McCrady trial.
Of course the local news papers suddenly developed an admiration for "psychic" work, although they'd shown no previous interest. Now they couldn't resist getting in on the action so she was interviewed a few times by them right after the trial.
It was during one of these "written interviews" that I noticed the reporter referring to her as Georgia Lee, instead of Georgia Rudolph.
I wondered if the woman had an 'identity crisis,' a 'multiple personality disorder' or just what! Maybe she was another damned psychopath and just simply couldn't tell the truth and stick to the same story for very long! Wow, that would be a disastrous discovery, now wouldn't it?
"How many aliases does that woman have?" I asked Sindee. Of course she couldn't answer my question. Who could have? But an even bigger question was .... why was she giving false names? The only people I'd ever known of to use alias names were criminals.
I wondered why no one seemed interested in asking her what her name actually was. I used my real name. So did everyone I knew.....well, except one guy. But he was as pure and innocent as the driven snow and could just do as he damned well pleased.... and talk about "psychic!"
Why Rudolph and I put together, using all our combined talents couldn't hold a candle to him.
Actually, it was from watching and studying the activities of Wild Bill that I'd been able to determine strike dates, victims, areas of concern, numbers of importance, etc. Almost all of my predictions had either come from those old stories I wrote back in 1991, or from Wild Bill himself.
For example, when Wild Bill was stalking my sister in 1993 and 1994, I'd began telling Winstanley that "the killer was obsessed with me and my sister. That's when I'd began making the predictions of "connections to me and/or my sister."

Later, after Wild Bill told a mutual acquaintance that he wished he'd "left me alone and just took my daughter!" I added her name to the list.

And then when Wild Bill went after "a cops woman" in April of 1994, I'd added that tid-bit to my prediction list and began warning cops....."Watch him boys, he's coming after a cops woman." "Him" of course being whoever it was that was murdering our women! But the predictions were based upon the actions and activities of one man. I called him Wild Bill.
Officer Garvey was very familiar with Wild Bill, and his 'activities.' I'd even written to Garvey at different times and warned him of things that were coming his direction.
Back To Normal
After Jackie McCrady was convicted of murdering his wife, the clamor about the McCrady case eventually died down and most people returned to their normal lives. I went back to writing Pure Coincidence.
I had all the news clippings about the case and my notes from the trial, and someday intended to write The Trials And Tribulations Of A Trooper.
However, there were several books in the Pure Coincidence series that had to be completed before Unit 18 could begin. I was attempting to keep the series in order. It was not an easy task though because things just kept happening, and somehow the recent events always seemed connected to those of years gone by. It was difficult to write current events without repeating many things I'd already said... No, it was impossible.
Invariably, I wouldn't any more than get back to the project and there would be another woman disappear or another arson, and I'd have to stop work on whatever story I was on, and jump into "present mode" and write that story. Many times, I stopped work on the book so I could contact law enforcement with information that I felt was important on their case. Many times those cases were not local and involved long distance phone calls in order to obtain information about who was in charge of the investigation and to get a mailing address so the information could be sent......free of charge of course. Always free of charge. I paid my own phone bills, paid all my own postage and never received as much as a thank you from any cop I ever sent anything to......except John Winstanley.
He'd told me to keep him informed. I tried.
March 2001

Mysde (Sindee) and I had not talked for a long, long time. In years past we'd been inseparable and had spent more nights patrolling the streets than the average cop on the beat! In fact, we were out there so much if the local cops didn't see us for a few nights they went looking for us! But then, things had happened and things had changed and we no longer patrolled the streets or discussed the cases like we used to.
By March of 2001, we were talking again .... on the phone occasionally and on the computer almost nightly. Many times we did research together. She at her house, me at mine, both on our computers. It worked pretty well for both of us, and since we were both night owls, we tried to keep each other company as we worked.
I had finally worked my way to ... The Trials And Tribulations Of A Trooper, and was about ready to start putting it together.
April 2nd, 2001
I was sitting at the computer in the early morning hours when a random call came in from a Texas woman.
She was real interested in my work ... especially the "serial killer" theory that had remained constant since 1992.
The next thing I knew the woman had called me from Texas, and I was speaking to .... Gloria Ritter.....a woman who claimed to be psychic, and who claimed to have helped the police of her city solve several cases!
Her open-mindedness and her willingness to become involved in what I referred to as "tracking a killer," was impressive.
Gloria was very interested in my books and within a few days was asking me to send her copies of all my books. I thought this a bit much........since I now had some 20 books written....and the postage would have been enormous.....not to mention my own cost of printing and preparing for shipping. And besides that, my books were for sale. If I wanted to pass them out free of charge, I'd just stand on the nearest street corner and dole them out!
I refused to send all the books. Undaunted, Gloria began calling daily ... often two, three, or four times per day. Her phone bills must have been horrible because she stayed on the phone for hours at a time. Always asking questions about these Ohio cases. I tried explaining that some were not Ohio cases. Some were West Virginia cases, while others involved Maryland, Pennsylvania and other states.
Note: Eventually I did send Gloria a copy of The Teenage Trio, book number two in the Pure Coincidence series. I do not know if she ever read it. She never mentioned it again.
What's The Chances?
The case that seemed to capture most of Gloria's attention was the McCrady case. She became obsessed with the case, and no matter how many times I tried to tell her that it was no more important to me than any of the others, she would not let up on the case.
She quickly inserted herself into the picture by insisting that she knew several "big name" people...F.B.I. agents, C.I.A. agents, attorneys, etc. Didn't matter to me. Nothing changed the facts, and Pure Coincidence was based upon facts, and so was unit eighteen. I couldn't see how a Texas psychic could do anything that a person right here couldn't do.
Still she persisted.
July, 2001
Gloria finally got at least part of what she had been after all along. She didn't get it from me, but .....
Since August of 1997, I'd been waiting ... waiting for the "psychic named Gloria who was involved in the McCrady case" ... to show up.
I knew she would eventually come to me. And I knew something else....
I knew the difference between a thief and a psychic ..... between a liar and someone telling the truth. And I knew that psychopaths just couldn't resist bragging to the very person they 'thought' they had just gotten the best of. Well, they hadn't even seen 'my best,' much less gotten it!
While Gloria ranted and raved about the injustices within the McCrady case, I went right ahead working other cases....the 1998 murders of Emily Ullman and Carol Gordon.....the 2001 murder of Stephanie Evans....and other cases....several others. I refused to get sucked into a whirlwind about any one case.
"Gloria" came and went. If she was getting the names and answers she wanted, then she was happy. When she didn't get them she would drop out of the picture for a week or so and then come right back with as much gusto as she could muster. And she plotted and planned on how to get to this area. Who she would stay with while she "helped me," on the McCrady case! She wasn't 'helping me' with anything. As far as I was concerned the McCrady case was over. The man had been convicted. It was time to write my book and tell what I knew about the case. And I didn't need any help writing. I'd been writing all my life and my memory was excellent. If anyone wanted to 'help' Jackie McCrady, my suggestion was that they hire the man a good appeals attorney..... which was the same thing I said in the beginning! I seldom changed.
It was during one of Gloria's "silent spells" that my computer began misbehaving on me. Now, I've said repeatedly, this old contraption has a mind of its own, but what it was doing now was abnormal even for it.
By one or two am every morning, my web site began turning into ... "Beyond Chance.Com." ... Now, Beyond Chance was one of my favorite programs, and at first I thought I'd saved it in my ______ list and had somehow gotten hold of it instead of my own web site. I usually sent my web site to any randoms who wanted to know my life history! Usually I was deeply engrossed in my work in the quiet morning hours, and didn't really want to take out time to talk to a stranger, so I'd send the web site. If they had questions later, then I'd answer them.
I checked and re-checked. I did not have any url's saved as Beyond Chance.Com. I attempted to locate the web site. It did not exist. It's Lifetime TV.Com and Beyond Chance is simply one of the programs they have on that channel. This bizarre situation continued for weeks and weeks. Everything worked fine through the day time, but come night it didn't work. And even when I sent the site to someone, what they actually received was a blank page!
The "no word from Gloria" made me suspicious.
A 'Psychic' Message - Or 'Psycho' Brag?
Suddenly, without warning, local news papers burst forth with another spectacular story about Georgia Rudolph! This time she listed her address as Parkersburg, West Virginia. The woman seemed to move around almost as often as she changed her name!
When we first learned of her on Unsolved Mysteries....... Rudolph claimed to be a stranger to this area and had come in here from Georgia. By 1996 she remained a 'stranger to the area,' but then lived in Pittsburgh.
So, can you imagine my surprise when Mary Dye testified {at the McCrady trial} that she and Rudolph had been good friends since 1978 and that Rudolph had previously been a resident of this area! So why did she keep telling news paper and tv personnel that she was not 'familiar with this area?' What was the big secret?
However, the news paper article proclaimed that this "local psychic" was to be on tv's Beyond Chance program.
Surprised? Neah, not me .... someone had been bragging for weeks. I knew she was coming in, and I didn't think "psychic" had anything to do with it!
Tampering - Or - Coincidence?
Along about this same time period, several people that I knew began experiencing problems with their computers and even with their telephones.
One woman who believed that Jackie McCrady was an innocent man, and who had made her opinions known, had call blocks put on her phone - without her knowledge or consent! I had to shut down ICQ and completely re-do the entire program because of message glitz's......however, I couldn't help but notice it only affected certain people on my contact list. In fact, the only one's affected were those who had been working with me or talking to me about my book and/or the McCrady case!
October 13th, 2001- Beyond Chance
Lifetime TV's Beyond Chance Program aired ... The Trooper's Wife ... and my web site has never switched from Starlight Inner-Prizes to Beyond Chance again!
I watched the program (and taped it) and waited for Gloria to re-surface. It took awhile, but eventually she reared her head from her Texas stronghold, and appeared to be completely shocked at what was told on the Beyond Chance program.
Meanwhile, there had been some feed-back on some of old Gloria's information and ideas, and things weren't looking just right to me. Seemed to me she might be a control freak.....either that or she was deliberately trying to stall things that were slowing moving ahead. Didn't matter to me. I'd continue at my own pace, as always.
When Gloria seen that I intended to rise above the problems and go right ahead with my work, she switched from "comrade to terrorist," overnight! Her phone call to the woman who believed in Jackie McCrady's innocence was the final straw for me. She actually phoned the woman and told her that if she continued to associate with me that she would be endangering her and her family's lives! And oh yes, you can rest assured I still have the emails ... as well as several printed out copies in very safe places!
December 2001
Another local news paper interviewed Georgia Rudolph, and once again, the people of this area got another version of the "truth" from this woman who continued to remain unfamiliar with this area......even though she had lived here before, and was once again a resident here, and apparently had been for quite some time!
This time Rudolph claimed to have 'named the man who killed Jenifer McCrady....."I told them it was a man named Jack who was a cop,"......she was quoted as saying.
The more time went by, the more details the woman added to the interviews. Sad thing was, it appeared that the Belpre, Ohio Police Department in general and Officer Dave Garvey in particular continued to support her statements. I could only wonder why no one ever spoke up and said that she had never told them this information in the beginning ..... or, if she did give these details, then I wondered why it was not mentioned in the court room, or at any time prior to the latest interview.
In that same article Georgia Rudolph claimed she originally came from......no, not Georgia like she'd claimed in the early 90's....not even northern Ohio as she had claimed in another article that I read (and saved!)
No, this time she boldly went where she'd never gone before! This time, she proclaimed that she hailed from...
TEXAS!
A Texas Threat
Haven't heard from old TEXAS GLORIA in a long while.
In fact, I guess the last I heard from her, was when I jumped her ass about what she'd said about associating with me, and her reply was some sort of a threat.......
Something about "knowing what she had to do, now that she knew how my mind worked, and how I became suspicious when someone stabbed me in the back for no reason.
The Lord continues to work in very mysterious ways. I've always trusted him. I'll move when he tells me to move, and meanwhile, I'm standing right here, because I do know this area ..... and I know the people of this area. And I know that those people are smart enough to know that when the truth has been told, there is no reason for lies and deceit. And those same people are intelligent enough to know that the truth does not change, and that a habitual liar should NEVER be believed when a person's freedom or life is on the line.
And I know something else about the people of this area .... many of them .... most of them know me or know of me. I went to school with them, worked with them, sold German Shepherds to dozens of them... they know me well enough to know that I will never rest until the lies and the liars are exposed. And one by one, day by day, I intend to do just that.

I've heard much bragging about Georgia Rudolph writing a book called Yesterday Lives Forever. While she was writing one book, I have written 25 books, and worked some 200 murder cases. While she hides behind ever changing names and addresses, I remain Bonnie M. Wells, and live in the same house that my husband and I built with our own hands 30 some years ago.
While she boasts and brags of working cases all across the nation ... I list dozens of cases that I have been asked to work, and that I am working .... some of which she refused because the people couldn't afford to pay her.
Some of my cases involve kids that left for school and never came home. Some are housewives, perhaps like you and me. Others are hard core hookers that had drug and alcohol problems. None have ever been turned away {except those few who tried to take advantage of me and get personal information that had nothing to do with anything except their own selfish beings. I turned them away, and did it in a heart beat and will do it again, and will make no apologies for it.}
Sometimes there is not really anything I can do for the people who contact me. Often they are many states away, and I have no psychic info on their cases. The only thing I can do for these people is build a web page for their loved one and post it on this web site in hopes that someone, who might be able to assist them, will someday see the page and the Lord will move them to help a fellow human being. I have never charged anyone for building a page for them or for doing whatever I could to help them .... including hours and hours of psychic work. Some have said thanks. Others have said nothing.
Although this page is "the end" of the Georgia Rudolph/GLORIA pages for today ..... it is not really The End; for tomorrow ..... oh tomorrow ..... I intend to post another page, titled GLORIA {Part Five} in which I produce some very interesting e-mails that I have received from people in the past seven years!
I also hope to copy all the tv and news paper articles that I've told everyone about and have them available for everyone to read. It should be real interesting, so be sure and 'tune in, same time, same station tomorrow!'
