Interpretation & Identification For
Something Borrowed / Something Blue
By
Bonnie M. Wells
Compound Dream
When I had the Something Borrowed / Something Blue dream I'd never
heard of Mary Edna Badaracco or her daughter, Elizabeth.
However, it was but a short time
until I was contacted by Elizabeth.
This time period is also important
when doing dream work.
Let's examine the dream information against case information as supplied by Mary's daughter.
"Prophetic and Revelationary" Dreams .....
contain "symbolic messages." When trying to determine where the dream belongs ... which case it fits into, it is absolutely essential that the "clues" within the dream match the "reality" of the case, be it forward or backward.
I shall now show how the
dream fits the reality of the case of
Mary Edna Badaracco.
The first clue is the name of the woman I saw as Wild Bill's girlfriend.... Betty, and her description.
I have a friend who has a sister named Elizabeth. Her nickname is Betty.
So, as soon as "Elizabeth" contacted me, I thought of this dream even though her
nickname is not Betty. It wasn't much to go on so I said nothing and waited for
more info just like any good detective would do!
The picture of Mary Badaracco
fits the description of "Betty" pretty well.
The white, Toyota truck
was another clue. I'm told that Mary's
husband's brother owned one at the time
of her disappearance.
The name "Mary" was not actually revealed within the dream. And yet, I chose a name for the dream that is symbolic of "marriage .... or, to marry /Mary."
My reasoning was, something borrowed was the white truck, while "something blue" is actually the color of the truck that Wild Bill has been driving for nearly two years now.
The Toyota has been parked and for sale for more than a year. So far there are no "buyers!" Anyone interested?
Looking at my wedding rings is another clue.
My rings were white gold. I have learned that Mary Badaracco's rings were also white gold.
Actually, my rings were stolen sometime prior to 1997. They have long since been replaced.
I realized the rings were a clue.
In the dream I thought I was in the house where my mother once lived.
I thought my friend Linda lived there.
In reality, my husband's sister is named Linda and she lived in the house next door to my mother. Originally, I thought the emphasis was on the name Linda, but now believe it shows a location and another name.
Both houses are located on Virginia Avenue. Mary's daughter has confirmed that there is a Virginia Avenue just a short distance from her home in Connecticut.
Not only this but, my husband's mother's name was Edna!
As far as I know Linda K. has never lived in the area of the dream, so this had to be symbolic of something I didn't know at the time of the dream but would recognize when it was presented to me.
Elizabeth has informed me that her sister was the last person to speak to her mother before she disappeared.
That conversation took place over the telephone, on August 20th, 1984.
Notice the reversal of the date "84" ... In the dream, it was presented as money for gasoline, when I located 48 cents inside the truck.
Another "identifying" factor is my mother-in-law's birthday ....7-23.
Elizabeth has informed me that her father's birthday is 7-23.
My sister-in-law "Linda" has a daughter named Lisha who is a Pisces.
Mary's daughter Elizabeth is a Pisces and her daughter's name is Alisha!
The table and chairs I saw in the dream were completely unfamiliar to me.
I wrote to Elizabeth ....
"Are you familiar with a dark, wooden dinette set in which the chairs all have curved backs? If so, was it your mother's?"
Her answer...."Yes, and she bought the set with claw feet."
The description of the man riding in the truck with Betty (in the dream) stumped me for awhile. I could not identify this person at all.
I forgot to ask Elizabeth what her step father looked like!
I'm betting he fits the description pretty well though, all things considered.
*** UPDATE ***
Elizabeth has informed me that her step father fits the description of the man in the dream!
*********************
In the dream....Betty went into the rest room. If there is any speculation that Mary Badaracco was murdered at her home, I'd examine the bathroom very closely if I were a detective working the case. Of course, after all these years ..... well. Perhaps there's a "diamond in the rough."
Elizabeth tells me that her step father's birthday is 4-14-36. This makes him ten years older than Mary. 4-14" is the date that Wild Bill exposed himself in 1994. She also informed me the couple were married on 4-17 and wouldn't you know, that's the date Wild Bill was arrested in 1994!
In the dream I was broke ....didn't have any money with me at all and could not pay for the phone call I wanted to make.
Elizabeth tells me that her step father's place of business /work is located on Pembroke Road.
In the dream I was overly concerned about Wild Bill's going to work. I was very upset and crying because I could not figure out a way to get his keys back to him.
In reality, Wild Bill does not own a key ring like was in the dream.
He never had a key to the boat, the crane, nor all of the buildings and equipment.
He was simply a laborer and was fired from that job seven years before I had the dream!
In reality, Elizabeth informs me that her step father does indeed have a key-ring like I described because he owns the business, and does own equipment.
I mention the following for the astute detective .....
"concrete, water, sand and gravel."
I went to an old service station where an elderly man owned and operated the business.
Mary's husband was ten years older than her and owned and operated his own business.
In the dream, the man asked no questions.
Attention cops....listen up.
Wild Bill would throttle me if I didn't get his key's back to him.
To me this is another way of saying he'd beat the hell out of me and maybe choke me to death! Hey, I'm afraid of this maniac.....{in my dreams!}
Elizabeth has told me that the windshield on her mother's car was smashed, but the cops paid little attention to it because her step father told them that Mary had done it before she left the house! Now my question is this .... if Mary's car was there, how did she leave?
According to Elizabeth, her step father claimed that Mary took $250,000 and almost everything she owned with her when she left. I am here today to tell those who will listen ...... she took absolutely nothing with her. She had no money, no extra clothing, nothing, and she left against her will.
As I cried in the dream and realized that I had no one to help me and that I was going to have to "walk" back to Wild Bill's house, so it was with Mary Badaracco.
If you look closely at the dream, you cannot help but wonder why I didn't just drive the truck back and park it within a block of where I'd found it and leave the keys hanging in it.
Sounds simple enough, and probably would be exactly what I would do should I ever decided to "go joy riding in his damned truck!"
Then again, knowing me, I'd just flag him down and tell him to scoot over, I wanted to drive! He'd probably grin from ear to ear and scoot right over!
The reality of this case is.....Mary Badaracco couldn't drive herself anywhere. She had no help from anyone and could not even use the telephone to call for help. And, she was inside her own home when someone became angry with her.
Additional Information
Mary Badaracco had a lot of work done on her home shortly before she left it.... New carpets, lights, furniture, etc.
Any woman can tell you .... you don't do all this work and then walk away and leave it for some other woman. Think about this.
The dream title also shows this "remodeling," by the terms..... Something Old.....Something New.
After having all this work done on her property just six months prior to her disappearance, for some unknown reason Mary "quit claim" deeded the house and four acres of property to her husband for the sum of $1.00 (one dollar.)
Again I am reminded of the dream and the number of times that the subject of "money" came up. With the moving of a decimal point and the addition of three zeroes, the sum that Linda wanted for the phone call....$2.50 shows the amount that Mary's husband claimed she took with her.....$250,000.00
I'm told that the Badaracco marriage was not a happy one most of the time. In the dream, this is evidenced by me continuing to toy with the rings on my hand even though they had become just a blur from my tears.
Definition of a "quit claim deed"
"A quit-claim deed surrenders to the grantee all that the grantor has."
Another Source
Another source of information concerning the Badaracco case states that Mary's wedding rings were left lying on the kitchen counter, and her husband claimed she ran away.
After reading this story, Elizabeth has informed me that her step father "looks like Abraham Lincoln!"
Sounds like a "dark haired guy with a beard," to me, and I'm reasonably certain Abe Lincoln was a larger man than my Wild Bill character!
Seems my "dream description" is pretty close to a man whom I have never seen and had never even heard of until more than a year after the dream. Must be a reason for all this .... unless it's more of those infernal coincidences!
The dream emphasized "the kitchen" and "wedding rings." It also emphasized a "domi |
