Hi. Have been reading The Teenage Trio stories in the Pure Coincidence series. I have heard that Terri, Patsy, and Ronda all attended the same Career Center and were all in the food service program. I found that to be odd. Do you know if this is true?

I just found your website, and read the stories about the unsolved murder cases in Washington Co., Ohio. I too, was born and raised in Marietta, Ohio, and remember the cases of Lisa Burkhammer, Terri Roach, Rhonda Manley, Anna Brown, and Patsy Sparks quite well. Sadly, it does not surprise me a bit that the Marietta Police Dept. takes ALL the glory for solving murder cases. I don't know if you are aware of this or not, but about 5 yrs. ago, while watching Jay Leno on late night TV. He cracked a "joke" about if anyone wanted to commit a murder, and get away with it, just go to Marietta, Ohio. Boy, is that true!! I speak from my own personal experience, when my brother came up missing in Marietta last year, for two days. I was hysterical, to say the least. When the police was called, they would not treat it as a "Missing Person". Everyone in the family, and his employer did tell the police that it was not like my brother to come up missing or go any place without telling someone. Anyway, to make a long story short......the Sheriff's dept., found my brother, 2 days later, distraught wondering in a wooded area out on St. Route 26. I couldn't get the Marietta Police or the Washington Co. Sheriff's dept. to be more assertive with their efforts in helping to find my brother. What a joke!! Anyway......one reason why I am emailing you, is to ask you, have you ever considered taking your stories to the John Welsh Show? Please don't laugh at this thought. I really think that your stories touch the heart and would make a good program for the show. His website is: http://www.amw.com/amw.html Tell him your story about YOUR dreams that you have had in these cases. http://www.johnwalsh.tv/html/tellstory.html You have stories worth telling.....and most of all it would be a tribute all the YOUNG girls who have been murdered in Washington County, Ohio. I am bookmarking your page into my "favorites", and will be sending your website address to everyone I know in Marietta and Washington County, Ohio. :o)

I just wanted to tell you that this is the second time that i have tried to contact you but to no avail please email me.
E-Mails Between Trinda Davis & Me:
{Spelling & grammar has been corrected where needed.}
![]() My response to Mrs. Davis as seen on my guest book:
Trinda,
I will email you, but I can't help but wonder how you've tried to contact me. Almost every page on my web site has an email button, as well as a "sign the guest book" link, and I've received absolutely nothing from you. Like I said, I will respond with an email, but for those who read this book and think I might be negligent in my responses, I wanted them to know I have received nothing prior to your comments on my guest book. Sincerely, Bonnie M. Wells
![]() Letter from Trinda Davis to me: Date of letter 9-23-04:
Bonnie,
I felt that if you wanted to write about me and my family I could at least fill you in on some details about the Manley murder. There are a lot of questions in your web page that I have the answers to. I have kept an eye on your site for awhile and there are a lot of thing that are incorrect that need to be addressed and there is no one else in this world that knows the truth other than me and my husband.
I tried to contact you when the case first broke in the news. I even sent you my number and my email address but I never heard anything from you. I don't have a phone at this very second but I will in a couple weeks. If you would like to talk and get things straight let me know.
Trinda
![]() My response to the above email: Date of response 9-23-04:
Trinda,
Thanks for writing. Yes, I certainly would be interested in talking to you because the Manley case remains questionable in my mind, as well as the minds of many people in this area.
You said there are many things on my web site that are incorrect. Could you please explain, as I will make corrections where they are needed if evidence supports those changes. However, I cannot change those things which have come from news papers and other sources ....... such as the information concerning the Manley murder "in the beginning." It's not my fault that law enforcement changed their story.
The fact that you do not have a phone is no problem for me. I would prefer, in fact insist that any changes on my web site be made due to written information, because after a lifetime in this area and watching how things are done, I really don't trust phone conversations that ends up being my word against the other person's.
Again, thanks for writing. I'll look forward to corresponding with you.
Sincerely,
Bonnie M. Wells
![]() Comments:
As of October 20th, 2004, there has been no further word from Trinda Davis. Apparently telling the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth in print is not as appealing as telling it over a telephone where it can be denied at a later date, should the need arise.
Therefore, there have been no changes made to my "Ronda" pages, and there will not be any made until someone furnishes me written evidence that it needs to be changed.
Even then, the only things that I will change are those things which I said. I will not change the questions, but will answer them if someone supplies the answers. I have already done this in several places. As information was supplied, I did go back and fill in the answers.
I cannot change the information that appeared in news papers - info such as the white, Toyota or S-10 truck seen racing from the cemetery right after someone heard a woman screaming in the cemetery. That is not "my" information. It was in all local news papers back at the time of Ronda's murder. I still have all the clippings, and will continue to keep them because as I've said many times, things do not look right to me in the Manley case.
If the news reporters don't have courage enough to ask questions, and Davis' attorney doesn't care enough to ask them, then who else is there but me?
I could care less about Aubrey Davis. From what I've heard of him he's right where he belongs, and if "Mrs." Davis wishes to remain married to such a man - after telling the world she intended to seek a divorce, and the only reason she hadn't before was because she had to wait until he was arrested because she feared for her own life," - then that's her business. {As long as we taxpayers don't have to support her and her children, that is.}
All I can say at this point and time is this - I continue to wonder just which of my unanswered "questions" Mrs. Davis has the answers to. Might be real interesting to go back and re-read those questions and ask ourselves at the end of each one .... "could she answer this one?" And another thing that disturbs me slightly about her letter to me is the comment - "there is no one else in this world that knows the truth other than me and my husband."
Dang, I don't think I'd want to tell a free-lance investigator/author that I was the only person outside prison walls that had all the details and information about a murder case that went unsolved for ten years .... would you?
![]() New Email From Trinda Davis 11-04-04: Bonnie
I sent you the information in September that I had to send but there seems to be a problem with your receiving my email so here it is again. First of all I am not married to Aubrey Davis any longer. I have recently been remarried. Second, Aubrey did not live in his car back then he lived with me and my mother in a trailer out in Barlow. As far as where the car was parked it was my mothers car and it was McDonald's where he worked. That answers the car, the place of living, and where his clothes were. As far as the question about going to the hospital, we did not think that it was bad enough to the emergency room, however the following day when my grandmother took ill and was taking to the hospital he decided to have it looked at. And in response to your words about me Yes I am TRINDA DAVIS now and always, I am not ashamed of who I am or who I married I was only 16 when we got married. And as far as what I said about me knowing the truth about the questions about the murder I only know the details about where we lived and what he drove and how the DNA came about, I am the person that told the police that he had DNA on file and to cross check it. It was not until the match came back that I found out he really had done it. I thought that you would like to have a few more details to add so that it was a more complete story, NOT for you to belittle me and my children.

My Reply To Trinda Davis 11-04-04:
Trinda,
I'll be more than happy to post your latest response to me, and make
whatever corrections are deemed necessary as a result of them.
If you feel I've "belittled" you and your children, then I apologize and
will remove whatever appears to do that from my comments.
If Aubrey killed Ronda, then he's precisely where he belongs. If he didn't,
then he, you and everyone else involved are helping the real killer remain a
free man. I'm to the point with all of it that I really don't even care
anymore.

Two new postings on my guest book: Date - February 2005:
1. Comments: Are these stories fictional? {signed Curious}
2. Comments: Never mind. I just saw where you posted that the stories were true and that you'd investigated them. I have to admit that tidbit floored me.
Manley Case MPD: If the case was solved why on earth are they still asking for information?
I certainly don't remember it being solved and someone going to prison for it. If I hadn't read it someone definitely would have told me about it since Marietta is a small town and crimes like that don't exactly happen every day.
You have the Patsy Sparks case marked unsolved and I remember quite clearly when they found her body AND solved the case. If it's still unsolved then there's some poor schmuck sitting in prison (who confessed incidentally) for no reason at all.
Based on the fact that all your stories of these murders seem to lead right back to and revolve around YOU I have to wonder exactly what realty you live in. Thanks for the trip into an alternate reality. {signed Curious}

![]() The above letter was so asinine that I felt compelled to answer it on my guest book. My reply follows:
Comments:
Dear Curious,
You're most welcome for the "trip into an alternate reality" - whatever that means. But, based on your comments, I honestly don't think you needed my assistance!
I have no idea why the Marietta police are still asking for assistance in solving Ronda Manley's case, because as plainly shown and reported on my own web site, Aubrey Davis "confessed" to the crime. I even produce letters from the man's wife to show my involvement and interest in the case, so why you would attack me with ridicule and criticism instead of jumping the asses of people who have obviously failed to update their web site, shows but one more characteristic so common to this area.
You say that the murder of Patsy Sparks has been solved and you remember when it was solved. Perhaps you'd better do another "reality check," because your memory is playing tricks on you.
Patsy's body was found, after NO ONE bothered to search for the kid, and she lay for 30 months in Noble County, but her killer continues to walk our streets. There is "rumor" that one certain guy killed her, but that rumor didn't start until some eight years after she disappeared, and I notice the guy has never been arrested for the crime, which tells me a lot - but I'm sure it says nothing to you.
You say "these crimes don't happen every day" in the small town of Marietta. Well, you are right, it isn't "every day," but it is obviously far more often than it should be, and there are way too many cases in the Marietta "area" to ignore.
Deputy Ray Clark was gunned down in his own home on February 7th, 1981. His case has never been solved. Then there is Terri Roach who was found in the Marietta area of Cole Coffman Road in July of 1990. Terri's case remains unsolved, as does the murder of little nine year old Anna Marie Brown from back in 1975; then there's Marie Blough from 1986, and Kimberly Fulton and her little boy Daniel from 1995, not to mention Jill Bohl who died under very mysterious circumstances in 1983.
Perhaps we should not concern ourselves so much with what reality I live in and be a little more concerned about "YOUR REALITY," because it appears to be you who are wearing the rose colored glasses and living in a fantasy world that no longer exists - if it ever did!
Your snide comments about the cases appearing to "revolve around and lead back to me," will only serve to prove to the world that I am right, so thank you. I'm sure you didn't mean it that way, but sometimes, when we set out to humiliate a person who's done nothing except try to stop a damned killer "before he gets to you or yours," then every once in a while, it backfires in the face of the critic. And so it has with you. Congratulations.
And by the way, if you research Ted Bundy's murders, you will quickly see that his "obsession" was with a woman he'd dated in college. Ted did not murder this woman, but all those that he did murder bore a striking resemblance to that woman. How sad that she never realized this and spoke up. Perhaps if she had many innocent girls would not have had to die. Then again, all things considered, I suppose if she had spoken up there would have been those rude, arrogant individuals who never turned their own hands over to help anyone, who would have called her a liar, ridiculed her suspicions and efforts, and tried to make her sound insane. Perhaps it would have worked for her .... but you have attacked the wrong woman in this case, and I will not submit to your type of intimidation and ridicule quietly. That is not my style.
"If" I make a mistake on any of the dozens of cases profiled on my web site, I correct that mistake as soon as it is pointed out to me. But I made no mistakes in Patsy Sparks or Ronda Manley's cases, and the day comes when it WILL be proven.
Meanwhile, my work as a psychic investigator and criminal profiler continues, and I'll make no apologies for it to you or anyone else, and how "floored" you were is of no interest to me what so ever, because you've just been "floored" again!
Special Note:
As of February 11th, 2005, the Marietta Police Department continues to have their page posted asking the public for assistance in solving Ronda Manley's case. It has been more than a year now since the case was supposedly solved - at least according to them, so why they have neglected to remove the page is anybodies guess. However, it does serve as an excellent example of what I've been saying all along.
I'm sure as soon as someone brings this negligence to their attention they will pull the page, so I have taken the liberty of copying the entire page, complete with computer dated evidence, and storing it in a safe place, just in case anyone ever wants to challenge my information. Of course, I could always rely on "Curious" to prove my point since she/he was kind enough to send me the Marietta Police Department link within their letter on my guest book! I mean, if the page wasn't there and Marietta PD wasn't still asking for help in solving it, why would Curious have been so brave and bold, and felt so very self confident? Yep, set up another fine citizen to be made an ass out of while trying to support them!! Hey Curious, don't feel too bad, they've only met their match one time!

2006 Comments:
Trinda Davis says that Aubrey was living in Barlow with her mother and her at the time of Ronda's death: This is NOT what Aubrey Davis claimed in his 'confession.' He claimed that he was living in Marietta, in a house that had no water at the time. This, he claimed was why he "drove out into the country and threw his bloody clothing into a farm pond."
Now, his former wife comes along and tells me that he was NOT driving a white Toyota truck [and I knew damned well he wasn't] but was in fact driving a car that belonged to her mother.
Aubrey Davis's 'confession' does not make any sense. It does NOT fit the crime scene. The man would have been covered with blood - you cannot stab someone twenty-some times and not have blood all over yourself too. He mentions absolutely nothing about carrying a change of clothing [like the man who did drive a white Toyota truck in 1992!!] and he mentions nothing about 'going home nude,' and neither does Trinda. Wouldn't you think she or her mother would have noticed if the man came home naked - not to mention with blood all over him? Wouldn't someone have noticed?
Someone called Ronda on August 6th and told her -- "If I catch you out alone, I'm going to kill you."
Eighteen days later, she was stabbed to death. This girl was marked for murder. Personally I believe she was selected months earlier, instead of days earlier.
Who called Ronda and warned her? Even the state admitted that Aubrey Davis did not 'plan' on killing her, so who did?
Davis claimed he didn't know Ronda before meeting her the night of August 24th, 1992, and the prosecution believed him [as do I.] So WHO called Ronda and warned her?
Whoever this was, is the person who murdered the girl. He stood silently watching as she and Aubrey Davis had sex in the cemetery. He knew exactly what he was doing because he'd done it before. He was allowing someone else to be set up for one of his crimes. He would ultimately do it over and over again, and no one would ever notice --- well, one woman noticed, but no one's listening to her. No one cares - today. But they will tomorrow - when he gets one of their daughters, sisters, girlfriends, wives, etc. But, as always, it will be too late then.
And by the way, he DID drive a white, dolled up Toyota truck in 1992, and he was not home the night Ronda was killed --- and he had said those EXACT words to me eight months 'before' Ronda was killed.
I don't know Aubrey Davis and have no desire to know him, but I'm saying the same thing today that I said back in 1992. I know who killed Ronda Manley, and it wasn't Aubrey Davis, and I just don't give a hoot what he's 'confessed' to, because his confession is NOT consistent with the facts of the case.
Instead, his 'confession' is consistent with a man who was given an ultimatum which may have gone something like this --- "If you don't plead guilty, and force us to try you, we will seek the death penalty. And if you think we can't convince a jury that you are guilty, I suggest you remember that we have scientific proof [DNA] and the jury will believe that -- if you have any doubts, just remember Trooper of the Year, Jackie D. McCrady, and the conviction we got on him."
I wish I could have been Aubrey's attorney. I wish I could have been Jackie's attorney.
These two cases have left a bitter taste in my mouth for several years now, because neither one makes any sense. Neither one adds up to the 'so called facts' of the case.
I have no love or sympathy for killers, regardless who they are, and if I had my way, each one would be put before a firing squad, and the taxpayers wouldn't spend a lifetime feeding, housing and providing them better medical attention than most can afford themselves.
But, before a person can go before that firing squad, I'd have to be absolutely certain that they truly were guilty of the crime they were accused of. And this is the main reason that I am opposed to the death penalty as we have it today. Too many gung-ho prosecuting attorney's willing to intimidate and threaten people into confessions when they know as well as I do that the confessions do not substantiate the facts.
I have a remedy: [Don't I always?] EVERY interrogation must be video taped with three cameras: The prosecution gets one, the defense gets one and the cops get one: If the confession does not match the crime scene or other details, then it's out and a trial must be held.
Yeah, I sort of wish I was a judge too. Things would be a lot different. And I know one little killer that wouldn't be walking our streets anymore. Make no mistake about it, I do know him ....... and he can rest assured that even though he fooled everyone else, he didn't fool me -- not for one second.
And he can rest assured that I did notice the other murders that 'resembled' Ronda's [and the victims that resembled Ronda too] several years after Ronda's murder. I didn't miss them even though they weren't right here under our noses. I didn't miss them. His days are numbered ---- and then what's going to happen? Should be a real interesting time folks. Stay tuned, because I'm certain no one will want to miss this drama -- as if I'd let anyone miss it!!!
