It's been more than a year since a Wood County woman's remains were found after a fire at a family farm.
Now, Wood County investigators say they have new leads as to how Judith Petty died.
The fire happened in February 2008 off of Route 31.
The Wood County Sheriff's Office and Prosecuting Attorney have found additional information, that they say shows foul play caused Petty's death.
"It was never ruled accidental. It was undetermined, highly suspicious. Right at this time, we do not want to release any of the new evidence because it could hamper our investigation," said Dennie Huggins, Wood Co. Fire Investigation Team.
A wood county detective has been assigned to re-work the investigation.

Well Glory Be! Someone finally woke up!!
I said a year ago that Judith 'Petty' was murdered - and I thought then, and continue to believe ****the fire was set after she was murdered.
I'd venture to guess she was smothered or strangled to death...... then again, perhaps she was shot with a shotgun!
Regardless, the case reminded me of two other local cases: The 'Kimberly' Fulton case of 1995, and the Sheree 'Petry' case of 1996. Fulton was dead before the fire was set, and although the Petry case is supposedly solved, and her killer is in prison for life, I figured we'd see another case that tied into that one eventually.
Sheree Petry lived at 203 ---- Street in Williamstown.
My Newest Local Case:
'Kimberly' Sue Jones, who disappeared from her home on 2-03 [2009]. She remains missing as I do this update.
Another 'local' case of some interest [at least to me] is the recent arson of the Sly Fox nightclub. Now, when your on 13th Street and turn onto Market, instead of seeing the old 'biker hangout' you are looking at the side of the building that stood beside of the Sly Fox all those years without really being noticed. Now, the first thing one notices is the name FULTON on the side of that building.
And yep -- it's all just another 'coincidence' ..... or so they will say .... but I'm not going to tell you that. I'm going to say there's very little coincidence involved in any of it.

The Wood County Sheriff's Office and Parkersburg Police Department are teaming up to solve the case of woman who they believe was murdered last year.
Judith Petty's remains were found in February 2008 after a fire at a family farm off Route 31.
Officials say state lab results that have recently come back show Petty was already dead before the fire started.
Now detectives are trying to find out who is responsible.
"We're going right back through the complete case starting from ground zero. We're going to re-interview everyone. We have found a few people who were not interviewed and we're going to make sure we contact every person possible to complete this investigation," said Dennie Huggins, Wood Co. Fire Investigation Team.
