Tuesday, March 18, 2008

LEXINGTON, Ohio —

Police said that a body found Tuesday morning in the Mohican River was that of Holly Metzger -- a woman who was last seen at a Mansfield Wal-Mart in late December.

According to Lexington Police, Metzger's body was discovered in the river, located in southern Holmes County, at about 9:30 a.m., 10TV News reported.

Metzger's body was transported to Doctor's Hospital in Massillon, Ohio for an autopsy, police said. No other details were immediately released by authorities.

Metzger, 34, was last seen at the Wal-Mart store in Mansfield on Dec. 17, 10TV News reported.

After leaving the Wal-Mart, Metzger stopped at 9:11 p.m. and filled her car with gasoline.

There was no trace of Metzger until park rangers discovered her car stuck in the mud about 20 miles away near Mohican State Forest in southern Ashland County.

Metzger's green Buick Regal was abandoned, but police said her purse and medication were found inside the vehicle. The keys to the car were not located and a search of the forest and state park turned up no other clues.

According to police, a delivery truck driver said he saw the Buick Regal stuck in the ditch on Dec. 18 at about 4 a.m.

Friends who spoke with 10TV News said there was no chance Metzger would leave behind her two children.

Police said that foul play had not been ruled out in the case.

Cause Of Death

LEXINGTON, Ohio --

The Holmes County coroner said the preliminary cause of death for Holly Metzger Carruthers was drowning, NBC 4 reported.

Metzger Carruthers was formally identified.

Further toxicology tests, which are routinely done in cases such as this, will be performed.

The coroner said there was no sign she had been beaten or suffered other trauma, NBC 4 reported.

Proceeding With The Investigation

March 19, 2008

Lexington Police and Holmes County Sheriff's deputies are meeting this morning to discuss how to proceed with the investigation into the death of Holly R. Metzger (Carruthers).

Metzger's body was found in the Mohican River Tuesday morning near Arrow Point Campground, just upstream of the Spellacy Bridge. A resident had been out walking a dog and spotted the body.

Metzger was last seen Dec. 17 at the Wal-Mart on Opossum Run Road in Richland County.

Her car was found abandoned Dec. 18 at Ohio 3 and Ohio 97 near Clear Fork of the Mohican River south of Loudonville. The body was found 3-4 miles downstream.

The family plans to conduct a press conference early this afternoon in Lexington.

A Vision

Note: The following information is what I sent to someone who is a member of one of the crime groups that I am a member of. The only thing that I recalled after I sent the information is that I also saw a bridge, downstream from where the woman was tossed into the water. Everything else remains the same.

I saw a man, a heavy set, bearded man with shaggy, collar length silver/gray hair.

He was wearing jeans, a light colored shirt and suspenders.

He wore black rubber boots that came almost to the knee.

He wore a plaid shirt/jacket over top of the regular shirt and suspenders. It was almond/cream colored with brown and green stripes up and down and across forming a plaid pattern. It was open in the front allowing me to get a glimpse of the shirt he wore and the suspenders that held his jeans up because he was heavier through the gut than across the butt.

He was standing on the right hand side of a muddy river that was flowing fast. {I say right hand according to the currant}

He carried a woman draped over his arms. She had long hair -- shoulder length -- dark blond or light brown in color, and I believe she wore a dress or skirt and blouse of light coloring, because I could see her legs from the knees down, and her bare feet. Although I suppose she could have worn pants with the legs pulled or rolled up. From the way she was being carried I could not see her top portion to determine what color or style of blouse or dress top she had on.

She was a white woman and she was dead. The man threw her into the muddy water, and then wiped his hands together as if to say .... "job well done. job finished. that's that ... or some such attitude."

The area was weedy and brushy. It must have been fall or winter time because there were no leaves on anything..... Dark branches, dark grasses and weeds.

There was a large rock to the left of where the man stood. It looked as if it might have jutted out over the riverbank but I can't say for sure as I seem to have been standing to the far left and rear of the man and could not see how much of a drop there was from where he stood, down to the water. And yet, I don't think it was any great distance ..... maybe 3 or 4 feet.

I wanted the man to turn and look at me, but he wouldn't. All I could see was the side of his face and head. It looked like Wild Bill to me, but I can't say for sure.

The river was not a big river like the Ohio. Not nearly as wide as the Ohio. / end of vision.

PS: I don't know anything about the dead woman in Lexington ....... what she looked like or anything. I wonder if it could have been her? Whoever it was, she was dead BEFORE he threw her into the water. Either that or she was unconscious because she did not struggle with him at all. Her body was limp.
