I was unaware of these cases until they were sent to me in December [2005] by Monica Caison of the CUE Center For Missing Persons in Wilmington, North Carolina.

The following articles come from various sources on the internet: I will have a comment or two [as usual] following the news articles:

Shannon Nicole Paulk, Teresa Melissa Dean and Heaven Ross …

Is there a serial Killer Responsible for all three?

Could the Police be dealing with an “Anniversary Killer”?

Could it be possible that these three cases are connected? Could they have been committed by the same person? Is there a serial killer who takes 11 year old girls from trailer parks in the August 15–19 time period, exactly two years apart? Investigators into each of the three disappearance are starting to question whether there is a pattern and if the three cases are connected. It appears that the same man may have committed the three crimes.

The Shannon Paulk Task Force, formed shortly after Shannon disappeared, announced Tuesday that investigators believe Shannon’s case is related to Teresa’s disappearance and that of Heaven Lashae Ross of Northport, Ala. A statement cited “striking” similarities among the three cases.

All three girls were 11 years old.

All three were abducted from trailer parks where they lived.

All three girls disappeared two years apart - but within days of each other in August.

** In all three cases, construction, such as commercial construction, roadwork or bridge building, was being done nearby.

Shannon Paulk, Teresa Dean and Heaven Ross’ cases all have a striking similarity. Shannon Paulk disappeared from her Candlestick Trailer Park in Prattville, Alabama on August 16, 2001. Shannon’s remains were found on October 6, 2001 seventeen miles from her home in the Autauga County Wild Life Management Area.

Teresa Dean and Heaven Ross both disappeared from their trailer parks in mid-August, exactly two years before and after Shannon’s disappearance. Could the three cases have been done by the same individual. Is it possible that it is just a bizarre coincidence that all three girls taken from trailer parks, exactly two years apart? Seems very unlikely. Many of the characteristics of the three disappearance seems similar. Although at this point only Shannon’s body has been recovered.

A composite sketch was done of an individual who was last seen talking to Shannon Nicole Paulk. This individual; is wanted for questioning.

Remains As Shae Ross:

NORTHPORT - After more than three years without a word, the family of Heaven LaShae Ross still had hope.

That ended Monday about midnight, when they learned that authorities had found the remains of the red-haired, brown-eyed girl who was known as Shae.

"We believed she was still alive, that she was being held captive somewhere," said Carol Rowell, Shae's maternal grandmother. "It's just heartbreaking, knowing that they found her the way that they found her."

Someone alerted authorities to the remains about 5 p.m. Monday. Patrol deputies dispatched to an abandoned house in the Holt community confirmed the report and brought in homicide investigators. Based on evidence found at the scene, including Shae's backpack, authorities made the tentative identification and then notified Shae's parents, mother Beth Lowery and stepfather Kevin Thompson.

"The parents have been missing their child for some three years, so of course it was an emotional moment, but it's also something I would consider a private moment," Tuscaloosa County Sheriff Ted Sexton said, declining to elaborate on the reaction of Shae's family.

Rowell served as a family spokeswoman Tuesday as news crews spent the day in the Willow Brook mobile home park where Shae lived with her mother and stepfather. Rowell, who drove to Northport from her home in Gulf Shores after receiving the bad news Tuesday morning, said Lowery and Thompson were too shaken to talk to reporters.

The house where Shae was found sits on Creek Road, a narrow dirt road leading from a residential area. The site is about eight miles from Shae's home. The sheriff's department blocked traffic on the road Tuesday afternoon, keeping onlookers about a quarter-mile away.

Throughout the day Tuesday, relatives and friends came and went from Shae's home just west of McFarland Boulevard, where the family has lived for more than six years. A tattered flyer seeking information about Shae's whereabouts was taped to the door of the mobile home.

"You don't know what to say or what to think," Rowell said. "But the biggest thing is, why would somebody do this to a little girl? I hope they find out who it is, and I hope justice is brought down right for him or her."

On Aug. 19, 2003, Shae's sister, Alex, left her home at 6:55 a.m. to wait for the school bus a half block away. Shae followed at 7 a.m., but she never showed up. Thompson offered to drive her because her backpack looked too heavy, but she declined, family members said.

Several minutes later, a clap of thunder prompted Thompson to go after the girls and give them a ride. When he got to the bus stop, Shae was not there. He went back to the mobile home and picked up Shae's mother. They all went to the school and called police from there.

Authorities launched an all-out search. Police from Northport and Tuscaloosa; the FBI, including an expert from the Behavioral Sciences Division out of Quantico, Va.; and volunteers, some from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, searched for the girl. Helicopters were used, as were tracking dogs, some of them brought in from Florida, Tennessee and Louisiana. Shae's case was featured on national television shows, but to no avail. A group of volunteers spent six weeks looking for Shae but quit in a dispute with the girl's family over money.

Sexton declined Tuesday to release much information about the case.

"Right now it is important for us to make sure we're very guarded with this information," Sexton said.

Investigators continued to comb the house where Shae was found and the surrounding area for evidence and clues all day Tuesday. An FBI evidence recovery team and the University of Alabama Department of Forensics Anthropology was among several agencies helping to process the scene.

"Each case you investigate has its unique challenges, and this one is no different," Sexton said. "We're being extremely prudent, extremely detailed, deliberate, slow and methodical.

"We have a great deal of expertise out there working on this, and we're not rushing them."

Sexton said the original task force formed to investigate the case has been recalled, and a joint operation center for the investigation was established at the Tuscaloosa Municipal Airport.

Authorities in August said they were investigating the possibility that Shae's disappearance was linked to the disappearance of two other girls, one in Alabama and one in Georgia.

Shannon Nicole Paulk, 11, was snatched from her Candlestick Park neighborhood in Prattville on Aug. 16, 2001. Investigators on a task force formed shortly after Shannon disappeared said in August they believed her case was linked to those of Shae and Teresa Melissa Dean of Twiggs County, Ga. They said there was no direct evidence tying together the three disappearances. But all three girls were 11 years old. All three were abducted from trailer parks where they lived. All three disappeared two years apart - but within days of each other in August.

Prattville Police Chief Alfred Wadsworth said his investigators were in touch with Tuscaloosa authorities on Tuesday. "Certainly we're very interested," Wadsworth said. "I feel certain we will be traveling to Northport soon."

Wadsworth said he sympathized with all involved in Shae's case. Shannon's disappearance, and later the recovery of her remains, deeply affected the Prattville community, he said. "I know this is a real difficult time for the family, and also the law enforcement officers who have worked the case every day and become very attached," he said. "Our prayers are with the families and with authorities."

Michael Crawford, 59, who has lived a few doors down from Shae's family for six years, learned that Shae's remains had been found early Tuesday morning when he saw a TV news crew near his home.

"I was a little shocked, I guess," Crawford said. "I guess I had made up my mind that, when they found her, they would find her dead. But it's still a shock.

"She was a very loving little girl. Always happy, just a typical little girl. Her brothers and sisters and all of them used to play in my yard."

Jamie Barrentine, 16, who has lived next door to Shae's family for about five years, sat on her porch steps Tuesday morning and learned the news about her friend from reporters.

"That just makes me sad because I didn't get to see her one more time," Jamie said.

Shae was an active child who loved to play video games, Jamie said.

"I tried real hard to think she would be OK," Jamie said. "But after a long period of time like this, that was real unlikely. After all this time, there was not much hope she was still alive."

Yes, it is highly possible that police are seeking a 'serial killer' in these cases. In my opinion, these are not the only three 'connected' cases, and may have actually began many years 'before' these cases.

On August 6th, 1975, nine year old Anna Marie Brown was last seen playing near her home in a trailer park in Reno, Ohio. The area is located just past the city limits sign of Marietta, Ohio [Washington County].

The child's body was discovered in rambling roses and brush about a thousand feet from her trailer.

I have emails that tell me the area where her body was found had been searched by several people, and she was not there at that time. However that's where she showed up.

This leads me to believe the child was taken somewhere [possibly the strip mines] and murdered. Then, the killer brought her 'home' so she could be found.

Anna Marie's case remains unsolved.

On 'August 6th' 1992, Marietta resident, 18 year old Ronda Ellen Manley received a warning phone call from a man, telling her -- "If I catch you out on the streets alone, I'm going to kill you."

Ronda was murdered on August 25th, 1992. Her dead body was dumped in Oak Grove Cemetery.

After nearly ten years a man by the name of Aubrey Davis was charged with Ronda's murder, and after several months, he 'confessed,' because the DNA found on her matched him. There's only one problem -- his 'confession' didn't match the crime scene!

He's sitting in prison, and for all I know he should be there for a multitude of other things he's done, but, in my opinion, he did not murder Ronda Manley.

Even in the confession he admitted that he had never met Ronda before the night of August 24th, 1992. "Someone" marked Ronda Manley for murder on the 'anniversary' of when Anna Marie Brown was murdered. He'd been following her for some time, and had possibly seen her for the first time in February of that year. That's when his plan began, and was carried out several months later.

On 'August 26th' 1995, Heather Teague disappeared from a beach in Spotsville, Kentucky. She remains missing.

A composite sketch of Teague's abductor is all but identical to the man I call Wild Bill or The Bearded Man.

That sketch as well as actual photo's of my suspect can be seen upon request -- if anyone is interested.

Meanwhile, there are several other 'August' cases -- almost all of which are south or east of the state of Ohio. Many of these cases occured on 'anniversaries' of other cases.

And by the way - he works 'construction' and travels - a lot! He's a 'river man,' crane operator and other 'heavy equipment.'

Those who are interested in the '42 day connections' between cases that span several states and more than 20 years are welcome to click on the link at the bottom of this page. They are also invited to read my "SYMBOLIC SERIES."

** SPECIAL NOTE **

The man whom I have been talking about was definitely into another one of his 'young girl' phases [they come and go, you know] during the time period of these three girls' disappearances. He was 'accused' of raping a 12 year old girl in the winter of 1998. Our prosecuting attorney failed to present the case to the grand jury until March of 2000, at which time the man was indicted on three counts of sexual misconduct - one of which was rape.

The man has two prior convictions of sexual offenses against underage girls and older women also.

And by the way - the woman this man lived with for seven years has found girl's clothing hidden [by him] on her property! The clothing looks as if it would fit a 9, 10 or 11 year old girl! And I've begged to know what Jenifer Short [another August murder victim] was wearing. No one will say. So be it. I'm just counting dead kids here, so I guess it doesn't matter if anyone ever tells me anything that might stop a damned killer. But I'll tell you one thing here and now -- there's no one on God's green earth that's ever going to be able to say I didn't try! I've tried harder and longer than any person I've ever heard of -- and still trying. Maybe someday, someone will wake up.

December 2010: My suspect is no longer living with the woman he lived with from 1998 until sometime in the 2000's. He has moved from her trailer into his own home. He continues to reside in the Marietta, Ohio area.

** My suspect is a heavy equipment operator for one of the largest aggregate companies in this nation. He travels all over the eastern half of the United States. He can be in Georgia this week and the Carolina's next week and back home in Ohio the following week.
