A former Charleston police officer was sentenced for double dipping.

Lt. Eric Eagle was placed on two years probation and fined $11-hundred.

Eagle pleaded guilty to working more than 100 hours at the Town Center while on duty as a Charleston officer.

He is the 4th Charleston police officer sentenced for double dipping.

James Sands and Lola Hart pleaded guilty, while James Nowling was convicted by a jury.

A former Charleston police officer will not receive his retirement benefits.

The Pension Board denied James Sands request for his retirement.

Sands is one of several officers convicted of double dipping.

He worked 164 hours for another job while on duty as a Charleston police officer.

Sands had asked for medical retirement before he plead guilty.
