Details of Disappearance
Soles was last seen at approximately 8:30 a.m. January 24, 2005 at the Shaw's Corner Store in the vicinity of Jones Avenue and Main Street in Andrews, South Carolina. She called her father from the store and asked him to come pick her up. Her father was too ill to drive, and Soles said she walk home. She never arrived and has never been heard from again.
Soles lived with her father and son at the time of her disappearance; her son is currently in the care of her mother. She has a history of dropping out of sight, but she had always stayed in contact with her son and has never gone for more than a few days before. Many rumors have circulated about Soles's disappearance, but none of the stories have been confirmed. Her case remains unsolved.

My Suspect
Well, I don't have a clue as to where my suspect was on January 24th, 2005, but I can tell my readers that January 24th is his sister's birthday.
And I can say that I've seen a few other things happen on that date ....
In recent weeks I have learned that he sometimes goes to South Carolina to visit someone.
Crystal Soles resembles the woman he is living with - when he's in this area,- and he's sometimes gone from this area for days at a time.
And in closing I wonder what the wrist watch looked like - and the rings too.

Crystal's father 'Buster' passed away on December 26th, 2006. My deepest condolence to "Gail" - Crystal's mother, and to the rest of the family. Crystal remains missing.

The Violent Criminal Apprehension Program (ViCAP) is a unit of the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation responsible for the analysis of serial violent and sexual crimes, organizationally situated within the Critical Incident Response Group's (CIRG) National Center for the Analysis of Violent Crime (NCAVC).
The pattern that links serial homicides is what is commonly referred to as "signature". VICAP operates under the knowledge that serial homicides are almost always sexually and control driven with a consistent evolving signature present in each murder.
In the summer of 2008, the ViCAP program made their database available to all law enforcement agencies through a secure internet link.
