Although I live in Ohio, my home is located approximately 200 miles southeast of Columbus.

Still, for several years now, I have been interested in and concerned about the number of young women that are being murdered in the Columbus area. It seemed few of the cases were ever solved, and that concerned me too. For the past dozen or so years, I have suspected that there was a serial killer operating in our area - well, usually within a 200 mile radius of where I live. Although there had been a couple of cases that extended even further.

So, I tried to keep up with any disappearances or homicides. But I didn't learn of Ashley Howley's disappeared from Columbus, Ohio until one of my computer friends in South Dakota sent me the article. There had been nothing on our local news, and not even anything on the yahoo crime group that I have been a member of for several years.

After learning of Ashley's disappearance I went in search of news articles on the internet. There was only one, and it was very vague. Never the less, it was immediately posted on this web site, and I waited for additional news articles, which never came.

Eventually I contacted the news paper that had done the only article I could find, which wasn't done until Ashley had been missing for nearly a month! I asked them if they had done a follow up article, but I received no answer from them. Finally I wrote a second letter - same results - no response.

By this time my web site had attracted the attention of some of Ashley's family and friends and they began asking me to work Ashley's case if at all possible.

All I could do at that point was take whatever information they provided me and post it on this page. There had been no dreams or other psychic information on Ashley's case for me to work with.

March 2005

Ashley Howley has now been missing for more than eight months:

The following information has come to me through various sources:

Ashley lived in Reynoldsburg for two years during high school, returned to Michigan, only to come back to the Columbus area in the spring of 2002.

One of Ashley's friends was an exotic dancer at Dockside Dolls, located on Dublin-Granville Road in Columbus, and Ashley decided she wanted to become a dancer like her friend.

In one source the friend is quoted as saying that she "knew Ashley was a wild one and didn't think she could handle the drugs, men offering to buy her gifts, etc." and therefore tried to discourage Ashley from going to work at the club.

Ashley danced under the stage name of Skyy, and according to her friend, began using cocaine heavily, after taking the job.

One source claimed that Ashley began showing signs of abuse from her live-in boyfriend.

While another friend of hers reported that she had been at a pool with Ashley when a man she knew intimately threatened to kill her. The girl watched Ashley walk away with the man, and it was the last time she ever saw her.

At 3:13 a.m., June 16th, 2004, Ashley phoned police from a neighbor's house and reported that her boyfriend {Robert MacMichael II 'Bobby'} had struck her in the head and choked her.

Ashley had been driving a Pontiac Bonneville, which was owned by one of her friends. Originally the car was reported missing along with Ashley on or about June 17th, 2004. However, one report states that Ashley's sister and one of her friends went to Ashley's apartment on June 23rd, and noticed the vehicle parked in the parking lot. They also claim to have heard her dog barking from inside the apartment. Later claims would say that the dog and cats were roaming the streets of Columbus and were eventually picked up and taken to the humane society where the dog and one cat were destroyed before anyone could rescue them.

There is some evidence that Ashley's cell phone was taken away from her at the time of her disappearance, and may have been used for a couple of days after her disappearance. There is speculation as to who took the phone and used it, and who threw her beloved pets out to fend for themselves.

Detective Redman claims that Ashley has not been heard from since June 18th {while other sources place it at June 16 and/or June 17}.{The last time Ashley was heard from was on June 16th.}}

Ashley's family became concerned when she failed to phone her father on Father's Day - June 20th.

However, no search was conducted in Ashley's apartment until July 9th, 2004. Redman stated "We found no signs of foul play, but the mere fact that she hasn't contacted her friends or family in three weeks makes it suspicious."

Apparently by July 9th, Ashley's car was no longer parked in the parking lot. Sometime later her vehicle was found covered with debris, and the glove box had been emptied of its contents.

Weeks after Ashley's disappearance, the case became a homicide investigation when police received information that Ashley's body had been dumped.

"I honestly believe she has been murdered," Detective Russ Redman is quoted in one source.

Howley's boyfriend is a 22-year-old Columbus man who was on probation and violated that probation in two cases, one of which was an assault on Ashley in September of 2003.

A judge revoked his probation on October 28th because he didn't attend counseling, tested positive for cocaine, and reportedly assaulted Ashley again on June 16th, 2004. {many have asked, 'why wasn't he arrested the night of June 16? He was in violation of his probation right at that time, and yet, nothing was done with him.}

His probation officer filed documents with the court and identified him as "the primary suspect in Ashley's disappearance."

The judge sent him to jail for the 46 days that remained on his sentence, and he was scheduled to be released on December 12th, 2004:

Comments

In view of recent news reports, I have chosen to withhold almost all names from this page as a safety measure for Ashley's family and friends.

Considering the fact that whoever killed her {and yes, everyone is sure she is dead, or someone would have heard from her by this time.} - but considering the fact that this person remains free to roam our streets and do as he damned well pleases, I didn't think it too wise to give him further names - just in case he decides to get even with those people also!

There has been rumor that this man has left the Columbus area. Whether this information is correct or not, I cannot say. But one thing I can say is this - if Ashley really is dead, and if he murdered her, {then don't think for one second he'd hesitate to do it again.} Don't depend on the police to protect you, as they are entirely too busy. Each one of us must assume some responsibility for our own lives and we must help one another. Don't take unnecessary chances.

It would appear that I was 100% correct when I made the statement: "then don't think for one second he'd hesitate to do it again."}

Dreams Of Ashley

At long last I believe there have been some dreams about Ashley: I will present them here and then interpret what I can at this point:

The first dreams were sent to me in an email. I have removed all names associated with the dreamer, for safety reasons:

For the sake of clarity, I will title this section - "Dreams Of Ashley" - I do not know the dates or times of the dream{s} so I cannot use any of that information to assist in the case. I will call the dreamer "K" and let it go at that.

The Two Ashley's

Dreamer: "K"

Date & Time of Dream{s}: Unknown:

Dream Interpretor: "K"

1. In the dream she was very upset and scared. I asked her if she was dead and she said no, but nodded her head yes. I felt like she was scared her boyfriend would hear her:

2. The second dream I had relevant to her was not one I felt was "real". I was in a backyard somewhere and we found her body or thought we found her body. The location was very everyday, normal neighborhood. There were no indications of it being somewhere I recognized. Later in the dream, we (myself and a couple other people) were in a vehicle and we had hit something. When we got out of the car we realized there was a body lying on the car. I remember asking people to check and see if it was Ashley:

3. The last dream I had about her was just about a week or two ago. It was the most real and I am positive it was really her.

We were sitting on the floor in the bedroom where she and {a relative} used to live (the house they lived in when I met them). We (when they lived there) had spent a lot of time in that particular room.

In the dream, the furniture was different from anything that they ever had there. We were at the foot of the bed on the floor, and again, I asked her if she was dead. She looked at me and in a very-Ashley-way said, "K", come on.... Yes", like I was beating a dead horse, so to speak.

I asked her who killed her and she said "D"and "A". I said "it wasn't "B" and she indicated him too.

As we were speaking she kept glancing behind me. When I turned around it was her again. When I turned back to the Ashley I had been talking to I expected her to be gone. She was still there.

Both Ashley's reached out and grabbed hands. And I joined in, too. When we all were holding hands there was a very intense and chilling feeling running through my body, almost like a currant.

Just then we heard a smoke detector going off and we all three got up to turn it off. I remember wondering if a ghost (Ashley) could physically turn off the smoke detector. We got up and she turned it off. We were trying not to be loud in fear of waking others in the house up.

For the rest of the dream we just played, like we were having a sleep over. We were goofing around.

I remember doing a little, silly dance and she was spinning in a computer chair.

K's Interpretation:

My interpretation of this dream is that I was visiting her on an astral plane and that she had called me there to help her re-connect to herself (the holding hands part). I believe in an after life, especially for someone that may have left this world in an abrupt or fretful manner, there may be pieces of a person, fragmented to reconnect with. As far as the rest of the dream, goofing around and playing, along with the location of the dream, I think that was a way for her to find comfort in this strange place she is in now. She needed some normalcy, also may be why she summonsed me.

I don't know if you feel any of this is helpful, but I wanted you to be aware of it. Again, please let me know if there is anything I can do to help.

Thanks, "K"

The Two Ashley's

Interpretation By Bonnie M. Wells

1. Ashley was not afraid her boyfriend would hear her. She was showing her final moments and what transpired. She was very frightened, and knew even while she was alive that she was going to be killed:

2. Ashley was placed into a vehicle, possibly with 3 other people, and she was taken away from her home, and into an area that she did not know. Without further descriptions of houses, etc I cannot identify the territory in which she can be found. But, I can say that she is not buried. She is somewhere near a road. {Note: There is now evidence that confirms that at the time of this interpretation, Ashley was NOT buried, and she was near a road/driveway.}

"In the back yard" may be a strong indication of 'direction of travel,' and her body is not very close to her home. {this was correct}

3. The problems began in the bedroom of Ashley's home, and there may still be evidence there, on the floor by where the bed sat, if authorities would recheck:

The initials of the three men named by Ashley spell out the word - BAD: This may be a strong indication that the men involved in her death were incredibly bad people, with little or no compassion. It also indicates she really didn't understand just how bad they really were.

The two Ashley's show that the Ashley that everyone knew when she lived with her relative, was not the same person that disappeared, but that the two of them had reconciled their differences {perhaps about the boyfriend or drugs, or her job} and some major changes were planned. However, she did not get to carry her plans out.

The smoke detector represents an "alarm" that was sounded, late at night {when others were in bed}, and an opportunity to avoid "the fire" so to speak. However, Ashley "turned it off," and chose to ignore it rather than flee from the buring dwelling. {This shows that she had one chance, and one chance only to escape. That chance came in the early morning hours of June 16th when she did escape and call the police from a neighbor's phone. Instead of going to the hospital, where she would have been safe, or asking the cops to take her to a friend's home {one of which had extended a helping hand offer}, she chose to "turn off the alarm" and deal with it herself.

Ashley had no idea of how dangerous the "game she was playing" actually was. She was young and naive in many ways and did not realize what a horrible world "dancing" could and would open up to her.

Ultimately it would lead to many, many people sitting at computers, and trying with all their might to find her and bring her home.

A Few facts before we move on to the next dreams:

My name is Bonnie; I am an Aquarian; I drive a Pontiac Bonneville; 714 is one of my tracking-identifying code numbers and has been for at least a dozen years; I raised German Shepherd Dogs for more than 20 years of my life. The name of my kennel was Granville Shepherds; October 28th is the birthday of my ex-husband {my daughter's father}; December 12th is the birthday of my only sister:

Other "code words" will become apparent as we move along:

The Lights

Dreamer: Cancer No. 25:

Date of Dream: 3-03-05

{*3-03 was my mother's birthday:}

Time of Dream: 10:28 pm

Dreamer was working around the house when she noticed the sun shinning brightly in the back yard. Well, what time is it anyway, she thought as she glanced at the clock before looking out the window, - 6:20 p.m.

The bright beams of light were surrounded by darkness. She went to the front door to check and see if they were in the front yard. They were also in the front yard, as well as over on a neighbors property.

She noticed the trees were all dark, and only the area inside the circles of light was illuminated. Well, that's not the sun, that's moonbeams," she decided.

As she continued to look at the moonbeams she noticed some small animals moving toward her. At first she thought they were cats. One appeared to be a yellow cat, and she could not determine the color of the other one.

{I once had a cat named Moonbeam. In the fall of 2004, I attended the Apple festival in Jackson, Ohio with this dreamer. The theme was - Moonbeams and Apple Dreams:}

As the animals moved closer to her she decided they were not cats, but instead were German Shepherd Dogs.

Then the dreamer noticed a young woman with long blond hair sitting on the ground, "beside her deck." At first she appeared nude , but then the dreamer thought she had on a flesh colored body suit.

{deck-dock: appearing nude or nearly nude: circles of light surrounded by darkness - "nightclubs with exotic dancers."}

One of the "moonbeams" illuminated the area where the woman was sitting, and the dreamer saw that she was wearing a blue swimming cap. A man stood behind the woman and angrily tried to force her to get up and go somewhere with him. He seemed intent on having sex with the young woman.

The dreamer thought - "That must be one of Wild Bill's women," - just as she noticed that the man had exposed himself to the woman. The young woman informed the man that she was not interested in having sex with him, and the dreamer thought - "Well, if she doesn't want to have sex with him, then maybe she isn't one of Wild Bill's women."

Just then the dreamer looked back to the area where the "dogs" had been, and was startled to realize they were not German Shepherds as she had originally thought, but were in fact wolves!

About this time the dreamers husband came into the room and demanded - "What the hell is going on out there?"

Just as the man looks out the door, the dreamer realizes that the "wolves" have gotten closer to the house and she can now see that they are not really wolves but are people with animal heads! She is terrified as she glances toward the young woman still sitting on the ground, and realizes the "man" behind her has hair all over the back of his hands and arms. "He's a werewolf and he's going to kill her," she screamed at her husband!

{years before I was born my mother dated a man by the name of "Russ." The two attended a religious revival meeting one evening along the banks of the Ohio River. They could see a group of people walking down the street toward them, and yet, the people never seemed to arrive or actually move from where they were first seen. Finally mom mentioned this to Russ, and he said yes, he'd also noticed it. He decided to walk up the street and investigate. Mom said he walked up pretty close to the people and then turned and came hurrying back to her. "Let's go," he said as he urged mom to move in the opposite direction from the approaching people. Mom said he was visibly shaken and scared, something she'd never seen in him before, so she continued to question him until he blurted out - "They are human bodies, with arms linked but they have animal heads, and they appear to be walking but their feet aren't touching the ground and they aren't going anywhere!" Needless to say, the experience scared the hell out of both of them and my mother talked about it until her dying day.}

"You'd better call the cops," her boyfriend instructs. "Ask for Jim or Ted - someone who knows the area," he instructed. "Tell them to come in the alley so he can't run and get away."

End of Dream:

Footnote: {The dreamer's boyfriend is a cop himself, and he would not tell her to call the cops, but would say - "call down to the department, and get someone up here."}

The Wolf Howls

Dreamer: Bonnie M. Wells

Date of Dream: 3-03-05

This was probably one of the shortest dreams I've ever had. A man's voice simply said -

"The wolf howls"

End of Dream:

Interpretations / Identifications / Explanations

By: Bonnie M. Wells

I work many dreams and many, many cases. Sometimes, I do not instantly know where the dream fits because often times there is more than one case that it might fit into. And so it was when "The Lights" was reported to me. It sounded as if it might pertain to an east coast case that I'd worked a long time ago, but which still remained unsolved. I wasn't sure - until I went to bed and had my own dream. Then I knew where it went. It went with Ashley Howley's case - My clue? - "Howl."

The dreamer of "The Lights" does not have the information on Ashley's case that I have. She has never read the news reports and does not know any of the people within the case.

The people with animal heads was to remind me of my mother, whose birthday was the date of the dream {3-03} and the man she was with when she had the experience recounted above. His name was Russ which just happens to be the name of the detective who is working Ashley's case:

"Dogs and cats" within the dream was another identifying factor, since Ashley's case is the only one I'm working right now that involves cats and a dog:

In news reports we learned that Ashley was an "exotic dancer" and worked for "Dockside Dolls," - I believe "The Lights" dream demonstrates this by showing a woman who appeared nude {a stripper} and beside the "deck" with a "spotlight" on her while surrounded by "darkness." This also has a compound meaning in as much as "Ashley was surrounded by the darkness - {meanness, cruelty, etc} - of her boyfriend and his ill natured {and possibly evil} friends and acquaintances:

The "time" within the dream - 6:20 - is an identifying factor because it is the "date" on which Ashley's family became concerned about her: The actual time of the dream - 10:28 - is also an identifying factor: The date of 12-12 is important also because my sister and her husband once designed Native American style "dance costumes" for "exotic dancers." {Remember the name of the detective who is working Ashley's case - Russ "Redman":

Another confirmation point is the fact that the dreamer's husband said - "Call the cops - ask for Jim or Ted." - In the city where these people live, the husband knows all "the cops" because he's one of them. He also knows that "Jim and Ted" are both "detectives," who investigate and work homicides and serious crime. So once again, I was reminded of a detective who was working a homicide - Russ Redman / Ashley Howley:

Both the dreamer of "The Lights" and I have wondered if my Wild Bill character could have been involved in Ashley's disappearance. I have tried to check as many facts and details as possible, but was still not certain until she had the dream. "Maybe she isn't one of Wild Bill's women." is the defining factor, as far as this question is concerned:

Since the woman in the dream did not seem to be overly frightened by the man who stood behind her, I am inclined to believe that Ashley did not fully understand what her boyfriend was capable of, and thought she could reason with him:

The "German Shepherds" within the dream were to make me remember - Granville - and thus, once again direct my attention to Ashley Howley:

Most people do not wear swimming caps today, and I'm reasonably certain Ashley did not have one on the day she and her friend went to the pool. However, I believe this portion of the dream was to, once again, show me exactly who the dream was about:

Ashley's friend said that the day they were at the pool, a man who Ashley knew "intimately" came up to her and demanded that she leave with him. In "The Lights" we see this exact thing, with the dreamer finally realizing that "the man" is actually a werewolf and that "he is going to kill the girl." This is exactly what Ashley's friend said the man threatened to do to Ashley.

The dreamer of "The Lights" has never read or heard the dreams submitted by "K" and had no knowledge of them at all. Her dream actually supported k's dreams though by reminding us of "inside the house" / "out in a back yard" / "in the neighborhood" /

German Shepherd is symbolic of "protection" whereas the wolf is symbolic of destruction. The werewolf does not actually exist, but is simply symbolic of a man who can turn vile and cruel when he doesn't get exactly what he wants, when he wants it. I believe this werewolf represents the man who is responsible for Ashley's disappearance:
